Exam I

The first exam takes place on Thursday, October 5, in class. Bring a calculator that can handle logs and exponents and one 8.5"x11" sheet of paper with your notes. No phones or other devices are allowed.

The practice exam and solutions are available. This is last year's exam, with a some very small modifications.

The review session will be in class on Tuesday October 3. The review works best if you have looked over the material before the review. You should also send me (by email) questions or topics you would like me to review.

  1. I post the slides as one-to-a-page pdfs. If you would like to print multiple slides on one sheet for printing, find the "pages per sheet" setting in the print dialog.
  2. I try to post the slides at least 2 hours before class.
  3. I will post the marked up versions of my slides after class. I am human, though, so I occasionally forget to save the markup before closing the file. Do not rely on these as a substitute for attending!
